Women's Parliamentary Caucus visited IDPs camp in Jalozai, Nowshera KPK on 15th January 2015

A 05 member delegation of Women’s Parliamentary Caucus headed by the Secretary WPC MNA Shaista Pervaiz Malik visited Jalozai camp of IDPs in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday 15th January 2015 to donate the relief material including medicines and quilts in the wake of extreme cold weather to the FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) for distribution among IDPs.

NA Speaker Constitutes Inquiry Committee under Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2010

Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly has constituted an Inquiry Committee in the National Assembly Secretariat under provision 3(1) of the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010.

The Committee will comprise of Mr. Safdar Hussain Malik, Additional Secretary (Com), Mr. Latif Qureshi, Joint Secretary (Legis) and Ms. Najma Siddiqui, Joint Secretary (Com). The Committee will take up complaints made under the Act.

A delegation of Women’s Parliamentary Caucus visited a camp of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Karak, KPK on Saturday 20th September 2014 and distributed relief material for women and children. The hon. Parliamentarians expressed solidarity with the IDPs while assuring them full support in this hour of need and tribulations.

The delegation comprised of Ms. Tahira  Aurangzeb, Ms. Farhana Qamar , Ms. Asiya Naz Tanoli, Ms. Kiran Haider, Ms. Aisha Syed MNAs and  Senator Robina Khaled.

The 14 year old Aqsa was working as a maidat a house inZubaida Park Lahore whereshe had been tortured by her employerwho then set the teenager on fire beforeshe was hospitalized owing to her critical condition. According to hospital sources 60% of her body was burnt.
