Secretary Women’s Parliamentary Caucus Hon’ble Miss Munaza Hassan in the companionship of MNA Miss Naureen Ibrahim visited the Behbud Crafts on 22nd Sep, 2021. Parliamentarians were briefed about the journey of Behbud women through a documentary. The purpose of the visit was to promote local artisans and the acknowledgment of traditional crafts made by trained women. Secretary WPC had a special talk with the women-home-based workers about Lace-Like Needle Work and Block Printing/ Slow Textile Printing.
WPC representatives appreciated the lead in establishing a safe & a secure platform for widows and let them be the bread winners of their families. At the end of the visit Secretary WPC made a firm commitment to promote local artisans work at national level. She further ensured that WPC would take up health related concerns of Behbud Crafts
