17 January 2023 – WPC Office, Parliament House, Islamabad – Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Pakistan team visited WPC Secretariat for a debriefing meeting with WPC Members and team on Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) in Pakistan.
German Experts Ms. Marion Boker and Dr. Elisabeth Klatzer were also present in the meeting. The objective of the meeting was discussion on the subject prior to the launch of summary paper on GRB in Pakistan. WPC, in collaboration with FES Pakistan, will launch this paper after a series of consultations with Women Parliamentarians, key stakeholders and relevant ministries.
Secretary WPC Dr. Shahida Rehmani said that involving women in the budgeting process ensures their perspectives and needs are considered when designing policies and programs.
