Meeting of the General Assembly was held with the main objective to make women’s economic empowerment a priority. WPC meeting chaired by Dr. Shahida Rehmani where the need to explore existing avenues for collaboration and knowledge sharing were discussed. In this regard, a presentation was given to Members with a focus on information sharing and discussion on how to bridge the gap within organizations, experience sharing and to enhance outreach to be able to reach out to women entrepreneurs across the country by Ms. Nadia Seth, GM Policy & Planning, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA).
It was unanimously decided by the Members to do a follow up on this presentation for a deeper collaboration with SMEDA. It was also decided that a subcommittee on the area of economic empowerment of women should be formed.
