Secretary WPC Ms. Shahida Rehmani (MNA) along with Women Parliamentarians visited Poly Clinic Islamabad where they were briefed by the Executive Director polyclinic about latest technologies and facilities provided in polyclinic and new unit for breast cancer including all the facilities in Radiology department. Main objective of the visit was to discuss the issues faced by patients who lacks awareness and resources for breast cancer treatment.
In an interactive session with medical staff at polyclinic, Secretary WPC stressed upon the need of limiting communication gap between parliamentarians and doctors that can ultimately help in resolving the issues faced by medical staff itself and the patients.
Further on, Ms. Shazia Sobia Soomro MNA, briefed doctors and ED about upcoming seminar on breast cancer awareness at the Parliament House named “Pink Parliament Seminar” and invited medical staff to be part of this good cause. In the end, members visited the breast cancer unit, checked the latest machinery at the unit and consoled patients.
